6 big donations made Karna worlds biggest donor

6 big donations made Karna worlds biggest donor

I started crying when first time i heard Rashmirathi (By Ramdhari Singh Dinkar), How much injustice god could do to a man like Karna. His Mother left him after birth, Guru Drauna refused to give him Martial arts training, Every one called him Sut-putra, He refused to marry to times by saying that he was sut-putra, before starting the battle he came to know that those he was going to fight were his real brothers, Indra asked for his armor and golden earrings, Later on his mother Kunti bagged him to their son's life even though this man stick to his moral values.

So lets just talk about his charities one by one that made him famous around the world and we still remember him as a Daanveer Karna.

1. Kavach and Kundal:

Indra came to Karna disguised as a vipra and started asking for donations from him. Karna said demands. Vipra-turned-Indra said, no, first you have to promise that you will give what I ask for. Karna came in a trance and took water in his hand and said - We pledge! Now ask immediately. Then Indra said- Rajan! We need your body armor and earring as a donation.
There was silence for a moment. Karna glanced into Indra's eyes and then Danveer Karna lost a moment and separated his armor and earring from his body with the help of a dagger and handed it to Vipravaar. Indra immediately ran from there and ran away on a chariot standing away.

But after some moment Indra realized that he did a blunder sin, which can't be repay so he stopped and came his original character and couldn't able for eye contact with Karna and said my son no one in the world can do charity like you but now i am ashamed of my act. So i want to give you something whatever you want. To this Karna replied that Hey Indradev If i asked you something in return then my charity has no value.

I Know you won't ask but still i want to give you and he gave a Weapon (Amogh ashtra) which he could use only once after that it would returned to Indra.

2. Donated promise to Kunti:

Once Kunti went to Karna and urged her to fight on behalf of the Pandavas. Karna knew that Kunti is my mother. Karna did not listen even after explaining Kunti's lacquer and said that I cannot betray Duryodhana who supported me when no one there for me. Where were you when every one called me sutputra, at that time why didn't you say the world that he is not a sut putra but my eldest son.

Then Kunti said that will you kill your brothers? On this Karna promised in a very dilemma, 'Mother, you know that no one who comes to Karna as a petitioner goes empty handed, so I promise you that I will not kill your any of your sons except Arjuna. You will always have 5 son either i kill Arjuna or he killed me.

3. Karna left Arjuna alive during battle due to sun set

It was the 16th day of Mahabharata battle when Karna faced Arjuna. Both were fighting amazingly to each other but Karna emerges as winner in this battle. He fought so well that even Krishna couldn't stop himself to Praise Karna. At the end of the Karna shot an arrow which pierced the fist of Arjuna. Now Arjuna disabled to fire arrows then Karna took the another Arrow and was about to fire but sun went down so he left Arjuna alive by saying that today Sun god saved your life. He followed made by Pitamah Bhishma rule that no one will fight after sun set.

4. When krishna beg Karna's Puberty (young age) in charity

Legend has it that once Karna donated his youth. According to the story, once upon a time, Lord Narayana himself came in the form of Vipra at Duryodhana's palace and started asking for Duryodhana's help. When Duryodhana wanted to honor Vipra by giving him gold etc. Vipra said, 'Rajan! I don't want all this. 'Duryodhana asked in surprise, "Then how can i help Maharaj?"

Vipra said, 'I am saddened by my old age. I want to visit Char Dham (Badrinath, Dwarka, Jagannath puri and Rameshvaram), which is not possible without a healthy body of puberty, so if you want to donate to me, then donate puberty. '
Duryodhana denied by saying that my spouse has the right on my puberty.

"Real charity is giving from the heart without taking credit"

Now he went to Karna's door, when karna saw him he asked hey brahman What do I want from you?  Vipra requested the same to Karna. Karna went inside to consult the wife, pleading to wait for that vipra, but the wife did not take any chances. She said, 'Maharaj! Why did Danveer need to ask someone to donate? You should freely donate that youth.  Karna immediately announced the donation of youth. Then Lord Krishna himself appeared from Vipra's body and blessed him.
5. Last charity of Daanveer Karna

When you have health and wealth both anyone can do charity but when you are incapable and you are at the end of your life, feeling already a lot of pain i don't think any one of us can think for charity at that time if somebody ask it for.

This incident happened when Karna was taking his last breath in the battle field, Lord Krishna wanted to test his charity. He became a poor Brahmin and went to Karna and said that I have heard enough about you and I want some gift from you right now. Karna said in reply that you can ask for whatever you want. The Brahmin asked for gold.

Karna said that gold is in his teeth and you can take it. The Brahmin replied that charity can not be taken it a art of giving. Karna then picked up a stone and broke his teeth. The Brahmin refused to take it too, saying that he could not take this gold stained with blood. Karna then picked up an arrow and  shoot an arrow in earth and water appears then he  washed the teeth and give it to Brahman.
Krishna appears before him and said Karna, Till this earth will remain alive mankind will remember you as one of the greatest Daanveer of all time.

6. Yudhisthira or Karna who was more charitable and generous?

Once Arjuna asked that we all do charity but why you always says that Karna is the biggest daanveer? To this Krishna said i will tell you when time comes.

One day a Krishna and Arjuna disguise as Brahman came to Yudhisthira that they required some dry sandal wood for Yagna as its rainy season. Yudhisthira ordered to his servants to bring some Sandal wood but there were no dry wood available in the store. He then return and told that there are only wet wood available as outside is raining. Yudhisthira said with shame hey brahmandev at present we have only wet sandal wood you can take it all but they refused by saying that yagna can not be complete without dry woods and left.

There is a beautiful quote " Giving is not just about making a donation, It is about making a difference".

Then they went to Karna's palace and urged the same request. Karna saw that its monsoon so its not possible to get dry sandal wood from out side. By thinking a bit he then broke his furnitures which are made up of sandal wood and give it to the Brahmans. They bless him and came back. Arjuna realized that indeed Karna is the real Daanveer.

Moral of the story is Karna does not give as its his duty but he loves to give. When we do our work unconditionally then it will definitely gives us joy. So help other how much is possible without asking a return favor. When you helped someone needy you feel peace , relaxed and happiness around you.
